European Styles Spotlighted on Oak St.

As I walked towards the Southeast corner of Oak and Rush St. (on a bright, warm, windy Friday evening), fashionistas from far and wide gathered atop thebpenthouse location of Suitsupply, the new men's store featuring European styling and fine Italian fabrics ....

Bentley's, Ferrari's, and very appealing models greeted me at the entrance where a guest list was checked before I could enter this sleek, new boutique.

The elevator door slid open and I was instantly surrounded by glasses of bubbling champagne, cuisine hors d' oeuvres, and a seemingly never ending collection of suits, pants, shirts, and ties in every direction I looked ....  I instantly could tell the owners put as much effort into the interior decorating of the store as they did with their products.  Within a few minutes of strolling around the shop, I got a definite good feeling about this store: elegant, high class, and at the same time informal, with accommodating and eager employees ready to help the average customer.

Out of nowhere the sun suddenly beamed through new windows with Northwest exposure and French doors were swung open to reveal a very inviting outdoor rooftop terrace, complete with professional landscaping, lounge chairs, and a complimentary bar serving ice - cold Heineken and effervescent Veuve Cliquot champagne; satisfying the thirst of this high class - fashion hungry crowd.

Time and again I was approached by glamorous girls, who were anxious to accommodate everyone with food and drink ranging from sliders and hot dogs to champagne and shrimp ....  Also seen circulating in the crowd was former Chicago Bears standout Jerry Azumah, completely dressed from head to toe in a custom tailored suit from Suitsupply (a perfect example of how a young man could look his best, given a store who could help him.)

I was astonished at what this particular store offers:  suits from $399 to $999, European styles, the best in Italian fabrics, and two on - site tailor stations with alterations done right here in the store, while you wait.  Unheard of!!  Not to mention amenities you will not find in any other store: an espresso bar, free wi - fi, and a terrific outdoor terrace with a spectacular view ....

With 42 stores world wide, and its first store opening last year in New York's Soho, I got a definite rock solid impression about this store.  Its unique ability is to enable anyone to accomplish a high - caliber  type of image, making them look their best; with a virtual new identity in a custom tailored suit.  Thus giving the average guy a refreshing, new perspective of themselves. With an innovative and exciting shop like Suitsupply in the neighborhood, gentlemen wearing European stylish suits up and down Rush St. will be a welcome sight !
