Destination Sundance Film Festival
The Sundance Film Festival has become an incubator for many indie projects. Some of these indie projects have become box-office successes. Young aspiring filmmakers flock into Park City in hopes of having their film or documentary get noticed.
Robert Redford who owned property in the Utah mountains named the organization after
his character in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid".
More and more people come to Sundance each year, gaining more popularity with
the stars and the press.
Sundance is magnificent with it's massive mountains and historic views which help lend itself to a very cozy atmosphere to do business, not to mention a skiers paradise.
The streets are always filled with an eclectic group of people.
For the most part the age group is between 18 and 35, that leaves me out!
I look forward to Sundance each year to watch some great new flicks and spend special time with my friends from Chicago who come out for the event.
Brenda Sexton gave her annual party held at Denis Healy's home at the Stein Erickson Lodge.
It was the place to be, as many film fans from Chicago were there to schmooze and network. It was also great to chat with the President of Columbia College, Warrick Carter. Columbia College had a strong presence at Sundance.
