While the back yard vegetable bed is planted, I still had to go to Jackson Park Community Garden to get those beds in order as well.
As you can see from the pictures below, what greeted me was not a pretty sight.
The garden is secluded from most foot and vehicle traffic and it was late in the afternoon so I thought it best to weed and plant one bed and leave the more challenging one for tomorrow.
Anyone who gardens over there knows that you want to do your work when the golfers are around. If you don't see any golfers, then you shouldn't be over in the garden by yourself.
Nonetheless, I had a productive planting day and my tomatoes can now start growing.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed for a bumper crop of produce in late August.
