57th Street Art Fair Kicks Off South Side Summer Fun

Chicago is renowned for its summer festivals and street fairs.

While the south side doesn't have near the number of events as the north side, there are a few upcoming festivals of note starting with this weekend's 57th Street Art Fair.

Mark your calendars and get out and have some fun!

57th Street Art Fair---June 2nd & 3rd
Real Mean Cook---June 17th (Father's Day)
Celebrate Hyde Park---June 30, July 1st

NOTE: Roy Ayers is headlining the main stage June 30th and the Average White Band is headlining on July 1st. If you become a "friend" of Celebrate Hyde Park for $100.00 you can get two VIP seats to a Saturday or Sunday date. For the quality of music and considering what ticket prices to concerts are these days, this is a bargain.

South Shore Summer Festival---August 18th

  • The 57th St. Art Fair is always fun, but seems to have shrunken to just around Ray School (as this year's map confirms).
