What Do You Do When Your Neighbor Won't Stop Throwing Parties?

The latest party last Saturday at the Metropolitan made one thing abundantly clear.

The folks that run and own the place just don’t care about being good neighbors.

They don’t care about having events without the proper licenses.  They don’t care about the lack of parking.  They don’t care about noisy party goers literally trashing the neighborhood.

And clearly they aren’t concerned about any repercussions from the city.

Calling the police does no good.

Attempting to have a conversation with the management of the building does no good.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:  Is someone going to have to get hurt before someone who has the power to shut this foolishness down sits up and takes notice?

I really hope not.

  • What neighborhood do live in? That matters because you need to know your alderman. I live on the same block as a BYOB fish place. Every weekend the people who go to this place took all the parking and left beer bottles and such all over. We got a petition signed and took it to the alderman and we got our block to made permit parking only.

    That sounds like sound advice.
