Painting the town Donna

You might just see a trend on ChicagoNow today. There are bound to be a lot of people talking about Donna.

Who's Donna? Once upon a time, I shared an office with an inspirational woman named Sheila. She had a story to tell that both broke my heart and taught me how to choose hope.

Sheila's story was about her daughter, Donna, who had passed away at four years old after an arduous battle with cancer.

I never knew Donna, but I do know that her story had a profound effect on me, and without meeting Sheila, I wouldn't have started writing this blog. Please read Donna's story at http://www.chicagonow.com/mary-tyler-mom/donnas-cancer-story-2/, and please help raise money for cancer research at http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/6969/2012.
