At the beginning of this school year, A was shy and quite nervous. Starting Kindergarten weeks after her fifth birthday was quite a transition. She clutched to my hand in the morning always pleading me to stay as long as possible.
Today she proudly marched into her school surrounded by kids twice as tall as her without even turning around to look back at me.
Her sensitive brother, D, asks, "Mom is she going to be ok? What if a big kid pushes her over?"
I assured him it would work out, although secretly I can't help myself from worrying; at the same time I am bursting with pride and love for my children.
