Fountainhead Hosts Stone Brewing for Crime & Punishment Brunch

This Sunday, February 23rd, from 12pm-2:30pm, Fountainhead is hosting Stone Brewing for a brunch dubbed "Crime & Punishment." Chef Cleetus Friedman is preparing a special 4-course prix fixe meal that is paired with 4 hard to fine Stone brews. Tickets are just $50.50 and can be purchased here (something I would suggest getting on it fairly soon, because the menu looks awesome!).

While you could make the argument that once you've been to one beer dinner you've been to them all, I feel like this event is a bit different. First of all, it's brunch, which immediately means that you get to nom on some foods that don't typically get paired with beer to begin with. And, not only do you chow down on Chef Friedman's famous fare, but you get to enjoy Stone brews you may or may not see in Chicago for quite some time.

Course One:
Whiskey bacon benedict, multigrain toast, classic hollandaise
Served with Crime - Lucky Bastard Ale with peppers added, aged in bourbon barrels

Course Two:
Roasted squash stuffed donut holes, crème anglaise
Blood Orange Cali Belgique Rosemary Mimosa

Course Three:
Cold smoked salmon, bastard braised white beans, romaine hearts, yogurt ranch, pickled onion
Punishment “Bloody Goliath” with pale ale back and punishment back

Course Four:
Mascarpone & cherry jam stuffed pretzel french toast, maple syrup
