Woody's Smokin' Pitch - A Charitable Cocktail at Harry Caray's

Woody's Smokin' Pitch - A Charitable Cocktail at Harry Caray's

Retired Chicago Cub, Kerry Wood, is at it again and raising funds alongside Harry Caray's to benefit low-income students in Chicago Public Schools. While "Woody's Smokin' Pitch" isn't a beertail as you might imagine I would write about, it's definitely a cocktail that you can feel good about indulging in. If you're a fan of a refreshing and slightly spicy tequila-based cocktail, I promise you won't be disappointed. It can be purchased at Harry Carry's establishments now through January 17th with all proceeds going directly to the Wood Family Foundation.

As always, the cocktail collaboration with Harry Caray's is Wood's way of kicking off fundraising for Woody's Winter Warm-Up, a celebrity mixer held in January that serves to raise additional funds for the WFF. It will be taking place on Friday, January 17th from 8-11pm at the Harry Caray's on Navy Pier. Tickets can be purchased for $150/person in advance here or for $175/person at the door.

We hope you can make it out, but if you can't, you're more than welcome to try making Woody's Smokin' Pitch at home. I've posted the recipe below for those of you looking to shake things up.

Cheers!
