Former Chicago Cub’s pitcher, Kerry Wood, has paired up with Harry Caray’s Restaurant Group to create a great charity cocktail this season. Using a healthy portion of Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel Whiskey (one of my favorites) and Goose Island’s Spicy Ginger Bier, this is definitely a winter warmer. Although you can find the recipe below, I encourage you to stop into Harry Caray’s to try one out.
100% of the sales from these are being donated to the Wood Family Foundation. Yes, you heard that right, 100% of the sales, not the profits! That means every penny you spend is going to charity and you’re getting a great drink in exchange. And, if you didn’t know, the Wood Family Foundation is using this money to support local students of Chicago Public Schools. So come in, grab a drink, support a local brewery, and give back to the kids in your community! This drink is only being sold until January, 18th, so get them while they're hot...or cold...if you know what I mean!
