Early in2010 I toured a number of Beechen and Dill homes in Lockport and Romeoville for the Tribune's Festival of Homes. You can see one of the homes, a light-filled luxury residence, in the above video, and in the second part of my tour at YouTube.
Next year will mark Beechen and Dill's fortieth of building custom and semi-custom homes in Chicago's southern and western suburbs. From what I was able to see, the company delivers a lot of features, flexibility and flair at its price points.
Beechen and Dill is currently offering a 4-bedroom, 3 ½ bath home at 238 Middaugh Ave in Clarendon Hills, on a site backing to the Hinsdale Golf Course. It's priced at $1,150,000 – substantially above the price of the similarly-sized home I visited in Lockport. But then, Clarendon Hills is a very different community from Lockport.
