Arches on the march in Oak Brook

1614 Midwest Club Pkwy, Oak Brook IL

The procession of arches at the pictured home has absolutely nothing to do with McDonald's corporate headquarters being in Oak Brook. It doesn't, does it? Did a fast-food exec once live here?

If you're parched for an arch and refuse to go near a Mickey D's, you can slake your thirst by walking out your front door at a newly-listed home at 1614 Midwest Club Pkwy in Oak Brook.

The home boasts (at least) 5 arches, 4 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths and a 3-car garage. There are two master suites, including one on the first floor. It also has, according to the listing, "architecturally interesting ceilings in every room." The list price is $1,890,000.

Coldwell Banker's Barbara Nasharr has the listing.

  • No, actually, my uncle (an electronics engineering executive) owns it... What an amusing thought, though, especially considering the owner's aversion to fast food.

I cannot speak to his predilection for arches, but it's a very attractive, comfortable and yet dramatic home. Thanks for featuring it!
