For far too long the Village of Hillside was known only for the "Hillside strangler" - the traffic bottleneck where I-88 merged, ever so slowly, into eastbound I-290.
The expressway interchange was reconstructed, and now that you can get through Hillside quickly you might want to think about staying there. One reason would be its selection of affordable housing - a median price in the $150s. Another would be the new Hillside Town Center. You have to love any place that doesn't spell it "Centre."
The median price in Hillside will set you up in the recently-remodeled 4-bedroom, bath-and-a-half brick home pictured above.
