A Seyfarth home in Oak Park

403 North East Ave, Oak Park, Illinois

During his long and distinguished career architect Robert E. Seyfarth designed homes in a variety of styles. Fairly early after leaving the practice of Prairie-school architect George Maher Seyfarth designed the Colonial-style home at 403 North East Ave in Oak Park for lumber-yard owner William Oliver.

Seyfarth designed 100s of homes throughout the Chicago area, primarily on the North Shore. The Oliver home, which listing broker F.C. Pilgrim touts as "one of Oak Park's true estate homes," is also one of only two Seyfarth-designed homes in Oak Park.

The 4-bedroom, 2 ½ bath home is on a 165 x 175 lot and boasts a Von Dreele-Freerksen kitchen. It's listed for sale at $1,499,000.
