Coming up (almost) empty on new construction new listing searches

Every time I'm in the western suburbs I see what strikes me as an abundance of new single-family homes under construction. I expected, based on those impressions, to have no trouble finding a few new homes to write about. That expectation proved to be wrong.

A search for new construction new listings (on the market 7 days or less) in the following western suburbs (entered in random order) surfaced no results:

La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Hinsdale, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Villa Park, Clarendon Hills, Oak Brook, Elmwood Park, River Forest, Oak Park, Elmhurst

I finally found two newly-listed new construction homes on a search in Naperville but, as is often the case in the MLS, the listings aren't truly new but have been on the market for some time.

What's curious about the listings for two "Bruges" model homes at 2666 and 2670 Camberley Cir in Naperville is that they're priced slightly higher in the MLS than they're listed for at D.R. Horton's Carillon Club site. Go figure.

D.R. Horton's Andy Simac does a thorough job of explaining the homes' features and value proposition in the above video, shot two years ago as part of the Tribune's Festival of Homes. Note that the Carillon Club is an age-restricted community.
