A video tour of two Robert de Golyer-designed Evanston homes

Robert de Golyer is best known for designing classic multi-family residential buildings in Chicago, including the Marlborough, the Lathrop Homes and 1120, 1242, 3500 and 3750 N Lake Shore Drive.

de Golyer also designed a number of single-family homes in Evanston, where he lived.

Just a block from the park fronting Lake Michigan in Southeast Evanston is this stately home at 1038 Sheridan Road. Built in 1925, the home has been fully updated and renovated while retaining its original character. It's listed for sale at $1,399,000.

The home boasts 5 bedrooms ad 4.5 baths, light colors and loads of natural light. There is a gorgeous sunroom and family room, surrounded with lush landscaping and gardens. Sally Mabadi is our tour guide in the Koenig & Strey video.

Another de Golyer home at 2767 Sheridan in Evanston, also listed by Sally Mabadi, sold quickly earlier this year for $1,300,000. You can take a video tour, below:

You can take an in-person tour of Robert de Golyer's residence in Evanston, at 1819 Hinman Ave. You'll have to clear the tour with the current residents – the Northwestern University campus police.
