Jordan and Pippen homes nearby but far apart in price

Crain's reported that Michael Jordan's Highland Park home has been listed for sale with an asking price of $29 million. The list price includes furnishings, with some exclusions.

The home has had saturation worldwide media coverage in the few days it's been on the market. You'll have to provide verified financial references if you'd like a showing or want to gain access to the website that has more photos than the six that accompany the listing.

Bulls fans can join me on a walk through Scottie Pippen's former Highland Park home, just south of Jordan's. At 13,000 square feet it's less than one-quarter the size of the Jordan home, and sold a year ago for $1,600,000.

  • Pip never had MJ's money.

Various basketball players, including Charles Barkley, were asked about it yesterday, and the reaction was "I can't afford it, but its worth it." Charles also mentioned the complete Nike warehouse in the garage.

Maybe D-Rose can afford it, but this might also be like Frank Thomas's house, with (IIRC) the custom pool with his image in the tile affecting its marketability.

BTW, Virtual Globetrotting/Illinois has from above views of MJ's, Scottie's and Big Hurt's houses, as well as "Girl showing breasts to Google vehicle."
