Mallinckrodt in the Park, an age-restricted community in Wilmette, has been on multi-year slow march to sellout, but that day is nearing as only 7 units remain available.
The development has seen price reductions of 40% and more from the original developer pricing, and has lowered its minimum age for at least one of the owners to 55.
As an incentive for buyers who go under contract by November 30, the project is offering a choice of $10,000 in upgrades or as a discount from the purchase price.
Base prices on the remaining units range from $205,000 to $545,000. A 745 square foot, 1-bedroom affordable unit is also available, priced at $110,000.
I visited the project some time back and shot the above video overview with a previous sales agent.
