I've seen Grant Park from many vantage points, high and low -- from penthouses 800 feet above the city, from a helicopter, and from many an airplane. Nothing I've seen compares to the views from the private terrace at 888 S Michigan's penthouse.
For starters, the home has a two-level east-facing deck that's larger and greener than the yard in most city homes. It's high enough, on the 13th floor, to provide large vistas, but low enough that you still feel connected to the park and the lakefront.
There's also a west-facing terrace off the master bedroom with great views of the Loop, and a narrow terrace along the south side of the unit accessed from the kitchen for grilling.
The home itself is beautiful, and offers everything you'd expect in the $2M+ price range. It's listed with Koenig & Strey's Mary Bennett.
Anyone known a better private terrace in the South Loop?
