My 2018 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

Joe Cocker is one of the great singers of the late 60's-70's. "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" is one of the great live albums.
Yesterday, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced their class of 2018. The inductees will be the Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and the Zombies.  I would normally take this space to argue why or why not they are deserving of the honor. Not today. I’m okay with results although... Read more »

Songs to help Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen pass the time while in prison
The number of the day is EIGHT! Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort was found guilty on eight counts. Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to eight counts. Eight was enough! It was a bad day for these two and our President. It was a bad day for America….no one wants our leaders to be... Read more »

In a town of cronyism, Donald Trump really is the "New Kid In Town".
During campaigns politicians have songs that they think relate to them. They play them at all their rally’s and their conventions. Why not have songs that describe the new Presidency? Here are some tunes for the new President: In spite of the snarkiness of these songs, I really so want things to go well for... Read more »

The Band-"I Shall Be Released".
Richard Manuel on the vocals.
Today is Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday. In a year where the world of music has lost a lot of great talents, it’s nice to see one of it’s legends hitting a milestone. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of articles that will focus on his life, career and legacy. You’ll also see stories about how he... Read more »

Top Ten List: David Letterman And His Music

Top Ten List: David Letterman And His Music
Tonight will be the final Late Show with David Letterman. I’ve been a huge Letterman fan since the opening NBC show in 1982. There was something about him that made you turn him on every night. It was so much different than anything that was on the air. Bill Murray was the first guest. Chris... Read more »

Butter is in but why not Bloomfield?
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced it’s newest members. The group being inducted in 2015 is Ringo Starr, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble, Lou Reed, Ringo Starr, Bill Withers and The Paul Butterfield Blues Band. My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
