Do you use ear protection at concerts?

Do you use ear protection at concerts?
On June 25th, I was at the Roger Daltrey rock concert at the Ravinia Festival in the north burbs of Chicago. Near the halfway point of the concert, I leaned over and asked the person I was with “Is it really loud in here?” When the show was over, my ears ached and I had... Read more »

At what age do you stop finding new music?

At what age do you stop finding new music?
One of my favorite ongoing discussions is when do you stop finding new music. Age thirty seems to be the magic number. I feel it’s even younger. I always say it’s when you graduate college. The reasons are basically the same no matter the age. In those early years, you have a lot more free time and... Read more »

Cubs-Indians World Series vs St. Paul and The Broken Bones: Another Conundrum
I seem to have a lot of tough entertainment choices lately. I know…first world problems, right? I bought these concert tickets on July 7th, almost four months ago. I was pretty excited when I heard they were coming back to town. St Paul & The Broken Bones are one of my favorite bands. I saw... Read more »

Lollapalooza 2015: Day One Choices

St. Paul and the Broken Bones.
My favorite newer band. The soul of an Otis Redding with the horns sound of Memphis. These guys from Alabama already played a pre Lolla show last night and I look for them to be one of the biggest names in music within the next few years.

    Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
