She said she appreciated the pub and is hoping to be at the second show tonight. Can someone hook up Lori with some tickets and maybe some Stones swag?

The week in review: Tronc, Trumps and Tunes

The week started with the New York Daily News laying off half of their journalists. Just more cuts by TRONC, which bought the paper a year ago. Do you think the $15 million they paid to Michael Ferro in "consulting fees" would have saved these jobs? Disgusting!
It’s been awhile since there’s been a Week in Review, but the last few days have been special. Journalists are under attack, Trumps are acting up, and a few good music stories. Let’s take a look.   Related Post: Foo Fighters SNL medley is the greatest rock Christmas song of all-time Type your email address... Read more »

Things that sound good but you shouldn't be doing when you're sixty-five years old

Sunday, I saw a guy with this Rolling Stones tattoo on his arm. He also had tats of The Beatles and The Who on the same arm. I thought, those are my guys, should I? NOOOOOO! Phew, I feel better just writing this.
You ever walk down the street, see something and think that looks pretty cool and then realize YOU doing it would be ridiculous? Yeah, I have those thoughts. Every. Single. Day!! Here’s a list of a few things I recommend against doing. Don’t even think about it. There’s nothing wrong with acting younger than your... Read more »

John Lennon, Mick Jagger and the circle of life

John Lennon, Mick Jagger and the circle of life
December 8th. It’s always a tough day. You can’t help but think and maybe obsess about John Lennon on this day. It’s the anniversary of his assassination and I tend to do the latter. I usually spend some…okay a lot…okay okay all of it listening to Beatles music. I know, not a lot different than... Read more »

In 2016, The Rolling Stones are more relevant than ever
Rediscovering is cool! Do you have a book you like to read every decade or so? Mine is “To Kill A Mockingbird.” I like to read it every few years or so. Movies and television are like that, too. My favorite movie has always been “Casablanca” and I go through withdrawal if I don’t see... Read more »

Donald Trump....Cease & Desist

Donald Trump....Cease & Desist
It happens every four years. Election season. Politicians pick songs that they think describes themselves and their candidacies. They try to pick tunes that the public thinks are cool and hip. The voters like the songs, maybe they’ll like the candidate. One problem with this is that most Republican candidates find songs from artists that... Read more »

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
