The Whorification of Wrigley Field

The Whorification of Wrigley Field
It was September 4, 2005. Jimmy Buffett played the first of two shows at Wrigley Field, in Chicago. Wrigley had been used as a home field for other sports teams besides the Cubs. The Chicago Bears of the NFL and the Chicago Sting of the North American Soccer League had played their games there. This... Read more »

Steve Winwood opened the Summer season. He was the opening act for Steely Dan. I'm not a big fan of his band but his voice was better than it was a year ago. Winwood is still a legendary performer.
Happy Labor Day! Most people consider Labor Day the end of summer. Oh man, is winter right around the corner? It does signal the end of the Summer Concert Season. There are a couple more events but for the most part, concerts will move indoors. It was a very busy Summer of music. While most... Read more »

Billy Joel, Rod Stewart and Cover Bands: Keeping an open mind

Billy Joel, Rod Stewart and Cover Bands: Keeping an open mind
It’s been a strange weekend. There are times in your life when you need to rethink your values. This may be one of those times…maybe. Howard Moore

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
