One of the first things you'll hear after diagnosis is get involved in an exercise program. Walking is great. Do it every day, not just the once a year 5K on Moving Day.

How Do You Know That You're Done With Therapy?

How Do You Know That You're Done With Therapy?
I’ve had a therapist for about three years. Actually, it’s three therapists. Apparently I’m so messed up I send them running off….go figure. My first one was recommended  when I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. I’ve talked about this numerous times. You’re body will be constantly changing. Your brain is slowing down, too. Parkinson’s patients... Read more »

David Bowie's song about suicide. "You Feel So Lonely You Can Die"
A couple of weeks ago I saw a story about a man with Parkinson’s Disease. He lamented how the physical and mental changes caused him to stop the activities he enjoyed plus affected his work life. It led to depression and had him thinking about suicide. It’s a big problem in the Parkinson’s world. PD... Read more »

Celebrities With Melanoma or Skin Cancer

Jimmy Carter. Now age 90, the lesson learned is if you are outside building houses, wear a hat and use sunscreen.
Last week it was announced that former President Jimmy Carter has Cancer. It turns out he has Melanoma. I haven’t written about Melanoma lately mostly because since my surgery, everything has gone well. My appointments with my Dermatologist have been uneventful. That’s a good thing. This is a ticket for the 8 pm show. $4.50 is the middle priced ticket.
Comiskey Park was home to the Chicago White Sox from 1910 through 1990. 1965 was a pretty good year for the Sox. They finished second in the American League to the Minnesota Twins. My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
