Donald Trump returns to Chicago for the money

It was March 11, 2016. Donald Trump was running for President of the United States. He scheduled a rally on the campus of The University of Illinois-Chicago. Thousands of protesters lined the streets surrounding the arena. Thousands more were inside waiting to hear him speak.

Donald Trump got scared. He ran off like a coward. Trump left his supporters hanging.

It's more than three years later. Trump makes his first visit to Chicago as President. He first spoke to a group of police chiefs at McCormick Place. That speech  was boycotted by Chicago's police superintendent Eddie Johnson.

Then came the main event. A fundraiser at Trump Tower, hosted by Chicago Cubs co-owner Todd Ricketts. This event was expected to put millions of dollars into the Trump re-election coffers. Apparently Trump will go anywhere for money....even a city he hates and regularly denigrates, like Chicago.

Don was met by thousands of protesters. While not nearly as many people as the 2016 rally, this group became loud and let their feelings known. The signs at the rally said it all.

Here's a look at the protest signs from earlier today:

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
