Can you tell someone is homeless by how they look?

Yesterday I was at a homeless shelter helping out on a program for volunteers. It's been a few months since I was there and there were a few physical changes in the building.

On one of the walls were black and white portraits of people who had something to do with the shelter. Some were residents, some were staff members and some were volunteers. No names or information was given about any of them. Here's a gallery of ten photos. Can you guess which ones are the homeless residents of the shelter?

How do you think you did? Could you tell? No? How would you know? Not all people dealing with homelessness are the same. Everyone has a different story. That's the point.

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
