Chuck Berry's Greatest Hits

"If you tried to give rock and roll another name, you might call it Chuck Berry."

Chuck Berry died today at age 90. To call him a legendary figure in the history of music would be an understatement. On almost every list of Rock and Roll's greatest's, you'll find Chuck Berry. He's also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2000, was celebrated by the Kennedy Center Honors.

Among the bands in which you can hear his influence are The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Both recorded his songs and the quote at the top belongs to John Lennon.

Even Ted Nugent said, "If you don't know every Chuck Berry lick, you can't play rock guitar."

Here's a look at his greatest hits:

Here was my list of the greatest living guitarist from a few years ago. We've lost two of them since this was published.

My so called friends think it's time to edit this section. After four years, they may be right, but don't tell them that. I'll deny it until they die! I can't believe I've been writing this blog for four years. It started as a health/wellness thing and over the years has morphed to include so many things that I don't know how to describe it anymore. I really thought this was going to be the final year of the blog but then Donald Trump came along. It looks like we're good for four more years..God help us all! Oh yeah...the biographical stuff. I'm not 60 anymore. The rest you can read about in the blog.
