Sincerest apologies, gentle readers, for my recent absence, however, in my defense, I have been preoccupied by an event of epic proportions.
That event being nothing less than the birth of my second granddaughter, Sarah jean.
Born exactly one week ago at 5 ponds 13 ounces (Yes, she was full term.) and 20 inches long, she has been an incredible delight for my wife and I.
And, I must confess, I did fear for a bit that her appearance would somehow detract from my devotion to my first granddaughter, Heather.
I am pleased to report that, if anything, I love and appreciate her even more.
We are blessed, to an extent, that my daughter and her family are living with us while they look for a home.
(ATTENTION REALTORS: WE DON'T NEED TO BE CONTACTED BY ANYMORE REALTORS!!!)
While it can be stressful at times, I am happy at how well Heather has gotten to know us.
And while I often think my daughter will run across The Holy Grail, Ark of the Covenant and Loch Ness Monster, before finding her dream home, I do dread their leaving (even to a place close by) just a little bit.
Over the next week, or so, I promise to get back into the swing of things, and once again, should any of you have any suggestions, questions or ideas, don't hesitate to pass them on.
Till then, Stay Skeptical, about all things except one:
How wonderful it is to be a grandfather!
