Fans of modern rock/heavy metal are most likely familiar with either Deftones or System of a Down or both...both bands having a great influence on the rock/metal scene over the past 10-15 years.
I've luckily been able to catch both of them live at different points:
- System of a Down @ the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park for the 2002 Ozzfest, where the lawn became one giant grass/mud fight
- Deftones, a few times, @ Summer Sanitarium in 2003 with Metallica, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, and Mudvayne; and also @ Northerly Island in 2010 with Alice in Chains and Mastodon.
Both bands are beyond amazing live and it's awesome that they are making a stop in Chicago during this short 9-day August tour:

Tickets are most likely going to sell out ULTRA quick, so I'd say wake up early and make sure you have your have your ticket buying skills ready to go that morning!
