Clearbrook, the largest provider in the state of Illinois of services, programs and support for children and adults with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other intellectual/developmental disabilities, has done their part to assist in the national effort to end the use of the R-word.
The organization recently created a YouTube video that supports the elimination of the derogatory use of the R-word from everyday speech and promotes the acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
March 7th is the national day to take action and end this words use.
With a sister-in-law that has disabilities, this cause for action hits home for me and I'm sure that there is a loved on in each of your lives that makes this very important for you as well!
