I for one am not a huge believer in having a "NYR"...New Years Resolution.
It always ends up being an out of reach goal that 95% of "us" never actually follow through in the proceeding 365 days, except for those hard willed few.
Most of the time I think it's blown into a bigger deal than it really is by the media, always running a story on people's "NYR's" the week before year end.
I'm not saying that having goals and resolutions is a bad thing, but having the pressure put on ones self of keeping to a strict goal from day 1 to day 365 is tough for most of the general public. It lasts maybe 30 days or even two months, but by spring or summer, most of us have gone back to the old habits.
Even me, someone who hates to be active, said to himself that I'll try out a fitness video game to work off the pounds that he should lose.
We'll see how long that lasts...
So who out there has a resolution and has it lasted this far?
Good luck to us all in 2012...hopefully it's the best year to each of us yet!
