I've always been a huge fan of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, not so much for educational purposes, as I mostly check out the newest video game or blu-ray.
But now that there are dinosaurs roaming the halls of the library, I might have to change my tune.
Origins: The Dawn of Dinosaurs opened yesterday in the Hendrickson Room of the library, 500 N. Dunton Ave., and runs the rest of the month.
It's pretty cool to be able to walk in my local library and see an exhibit that you would normally see in the museums along the lakefront in downtown Chicago.
The best part is the fact that it's completely free and open to the public...another solid draw for me and families looking for some inexpensive summer fun not far from home.
Check it out if you get a chance and maybe it'll encourage the library to bring additional grand scale exhibits such as this in the future, I'll be crossing my fingers for an old school video game arcade, but won't be holding my breath...
