Thursday night was a good night for local Harper College student Haley Reinhart from Wheeling as she was voted into the shows final 13 contestants.
Haley, selected by America to be part of the show's final 10 in voting results, was lucky enough not have to sing again for one of the final three judges "wild card" slots.
Sadly her local Chicagoland compatriot, Ta-Tynisa Wilson of Aurora, was not selected to join the final top 10 in "Idol's" tenth season. It's a tough way to leave after finally making it to Hollywood in her fifth tryout.
Even with Haley moving on, she still needs to "own" the songs and impress the judges more than she did on her version of Alicia Keys' "Fallin'".
I'm sure her Chicago charm and talent will help her as she tries to bring another Idol title home to the northwest suburbs.
Good luck Haley, we're all behind you!
