Keeping with the common theme of "How I love to eat food", today I was daydreaming how amazing it would be to have a Mongolian BBQ/Flat Top Grill or any stir-fry eatery in the NW Suburbs.
Having dinner at Mongolian BBQ last night in Naperville got me thinking about how there is no (other than Big Bowl, which I'm not a huge fan of because you can't gorge yourself with their predetermioned portion sizes) solid place of that sorts in this area.
Mongolian BBQ has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants as you can customize your dish to however you like it. They have a plethora of meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces/spices to flavor your monsoon of food.
The only issue is that the two Chicagoland locations are in Naperville and Bolingbrook, both a good 45 minutes to an hour away. Meaning that unless you are in that area, getting to one is an extensive journey, mirroring a drive to Gurnee Mills or Six Flags from this area.
And for those health conscious persons out there, included with the stir-fry meal is a unlimited salad/soup bar that isn't too shabby (even though the unlimited part doesn't exactly help...).
So owners of Mongo (another nickname for the chain), please bring one to the NW Burbs of Chicago, I promise you...people here can afford it!
