It's Wednesday, Hump Day, and we could all use a little cheering up.
Here's my tale of woe and Alanis-style irony. (Or you can skip right to the guys and puppies; you won't hurt my feelings.)
After almost two months of waiting, our new couch arrived yesterday. Our previous couch was my parents' old La-Z-Boy, which had served us well, but whose footrest no longer locked back into the down position. We were in permanent recline, you see. So we bought a new couch for the basement. And we were very excited for it to arrive.
Last night, I put the kids to bed, watched the end of a Grey's Anatomy on the TV in the living room, and then scurried downstairs to watch New Girl while lying on the brand new couch. I lay down and get comfy, turn on the TV and the show. Then, not even a minute into the episode, the screen goes blank. I press a few buttons. The TV won't come back. It's dead.
So, on the day that we finally got the new couch, we lose the TV.
To make us all feel better, here are some cute guys posing with cute puppies.
