I cooked with Goop again last week, making the chocolate-almond cupcakes that utilize Gwyneth Paltrow's gluten-free/vegan Brownie Recipe That Could.
I don't know what's wrong with either me or my ancient stove with the busted temperature dial, because, while these tasted delicious, they came out like raw dough. However, I'm not willing to declare at this point that "Goop's recipe is poop," because I also tried to make an America's Test Kitchen chocolate cake the week before, and it came out more like an accidental molten chocolate cake (not that I'm complaining about that). But, at the same time, mama needs a new oven.
Anywhoodle, these cupcakes did taste delicious, and they'd better because they bring with them a hefty 8 Weight Watchers PPVs.
The ingredients list includes:
- gluten-free flour
- cocoa powder
- maple syrup
- brown rice syrup
- rice milk
- almond butter
I'll probably continue to cook with Goop in the future, but next week I'm starting on a new, exciting (for me) culinary adventure. I'll fill you in on Monday.
