Hammervision's 10 Worst Movies of 2011

And just like that, we go from best to worst.  There were a ton of mediocre movies this year - movies that fell somewhere in the 2-3 star range on the 5-star scale.  But looking back, I didn't give one star to as many movies this year as I previously have.  Don't worry though - there were still some absolute stinkers, and if you've seen any of these...well, let's just say that you have my pity.  The biggest surprise?  No Jack and Jill on this list!  I actually laughed out loud about four times during that movie, mostly thanks to Al Pacino.  That's not to say Adam Sandler is going to walk away from this year unscathed...  Agree?  Disagree?  Let me know!

  • Unfortunately, I have seen a few of the films on your list and I agree wholeheartedly with your selections. Hall Pass, The Roommate, Just Go With It, and The Hangover II were simply just not good. As you and I regularly discuss these movies shortly after you see them, I think I avoided the other six films because of how bad you said they were. If only I had heeded your warning for the first four, I could have watched Warrior or Drive an extra time rather than sit through these.

  • Thanks for watching all this crap so that we don't have to. Also enjoyed your 10 Best list. But, didn't you wish that the rest of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" was as good as the opening credits?

Thanks Greg. Yes! I totally agree about Dragon Tattoo. I wished they would have had Lisbeth drive her motorcycle right at the camera and cut to black as "Immigrant Song" plays again over the end credits. Loved the movie, but it needed a more bad-ass ending befitting of its bad-ass female protagonist.
