The View just went on hiatus for next few weeks, and we all need to find new reasons to live. So let's talk books!
What book are you currently reading: Making Waves by Tawna Fenske. My first foray into reading the romance genre.
What book is next on your to-read list: George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones
What is your favorite book of all time: The Betsy-Tacy series by Maude Hart Lovelace (Followed closely by Harry Potter. Love me some Harry Potter.)
Favorite kids' book: Currently (and I am forced to read a lot of kids' books) One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss
Favorite book you were ever forced to read for a class: De Senectute by Cicero. How pretentious does that sound? Good.
Embarrassing book you've never read: I have never read anything by Jane Austen. Ever. I was a total rebel in high school and refused to read anything I was assigned. I took my milk in a dirty glass, y'all.
Favorite genre to read: Young Adult, non-paranormal.
Best book you've read recently: Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride, which is not a book I expected to like (being paranormal and all). It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed most of the characters and the tone very much.
Favorite Chicago-y book: Boss by Mike Royko
Which book are you most ashamed to have on your bookshelf/e-reader: Women, Food, and God by Geneen Roth. Damn you, Oprah.
