Hammervision is movies. Hammervision is TV. Hammervision is the creative byproduct of a marriage built on a mutual love of all things popular culture. John and Julie Hammerle have been watching movies together since Face/Off was in the theaters. John is an attorney at a Chicago law firm. Julie is not. They have two kids and a dog named Indiana. I agree - Matthew Perry may still be channeling some Chandler Bing mannerisms, but darn it if his comic timing and delivery aren't brilliant. He turns even the most mundane line reading into comic gold. I think we'll continue to get good performances out of him because he co-created the show, so he's invested in it. Janney's character's casual racist remarks are very funny. The stadium setting offers the chance for a variety of different storylines. This could be one of the good ones. Make Jorge Garcia a series regular, and we'll be set.
I agree with all of the above. Also, I just want to pray to the gods of TV pilots that this show doesn't pull a Studio 60 on us. Matthew Perry needs to be on my TV screen. I have felt this way since he guest starred on my favorite Thank Goodness It's Funny show, 'Just the 10 of Us.'
I love comedy series and this show is so hilarious. Full of entertainment. Thanks.
