Emmypalooza 2010 - Emmy Predictions

Outstanding Drama Series

The 2010 Emmy Awards telecast airs Sunday, August 29th on NBC.  I'll be Tweetering my way through the telecast, groaning every time Glee wins an award and taking power naps through the Mini-Series and Made-For-TV Movie categories (Yawn! Another award for the overrated The Pacific. Yawn!)

But the time for sour grapes and whining about snubs is over.  The dice have been cast.  The winners have been chosen.  And we have to prepare ourselves for the tragically unhip Emmy voters to deliver a few surprises and more than a few moments that will make most TV fans want to punch their televisions.

Alas, here are my predictions for the 2010 Emmy Awards:

Agree?  Disagree?  Let me know what you think in the comments.

And check back with Hammervision the rest of the week for all the Emmy excitement you can handle.

  • Julie, why are you dead inside? Glee hater.;-( OK I get it, Glee isn't as funny or well written as any of the other nominees, but it's still quality TV, and it gave Jane Lynch the fame she has always deserved and would never get on shows like "Party Down" which are brilliant but watched by 150 people. It may not be the best (I do agree with you in that respect, and would actually be surprised if it won over "Modern Family") but its the feel good show of the year and has cultural zeitgeist on its side, which is part of any celebration of excellence on TV.
