Marathon of Healthy Habits Challenge

Time sure does go by fast when you have the Marathon of Healthy Habits Challenge to focus on.  I can't believe the Healthy Habits Challenge has 1 month already accomplished.  I was able to recap week 1 and week 2.  You wont be disappointed if you check those past posts out.

The challenge started with 47 challengers and now has 46 going strong.  The teams have been bonding together and helping each other out.  The challengers have been embracing the tasks of daily positive affirmations, tracking foods daily, mini challenges, daily activity, drinking water, and losing weight or maintaining.

For week 3, the mini challenge was to prep fruits, veggies, and meats for the week.  I encouraged challengers to break up their prep for what worked for their schedules.  For example, I would cut up my veggies on Sunday night for the week.  Then on Monday night, I would cook chicken and cut up my fruits.

For week 4, the mini challenge was to pack a healthy snack every day of the week and to register for a 5K in October.  Weight Watchers had a challenge for a month to pack a healthy snack and I was able to get into that routine last year.  This mini challenge was like second nature.  For the spirit of team unity, I figured everyone could register for a 5K in October since I was running in the Chicago Marathon.  Please consider sponsoring me for the Chicago Marathon to help Bright Pink.

On July 30, another healthy habits challenge video chat took place on Google Hangout.  Lori, Roxanne, and Suzi joined me.  There was some video problems but the overall video chat went well.  Feel free to check out the video chat on YouTube.

Here are the team standings for the first month down!  I am so proud of all teams and we are in this together to establish healthy habits. Getting know these challengers has been a blessing in my life and I feel it has enhanced my healthy habits goals.
