Positive Affirmations

I learned about the importance of positive affirmations when I became  a Social Worker working with mentally ill adults with substance abuse. For group, we had everyone state positive affirmations for the day.  This helped transform their negative thought process into an uplifting thought process.  A Helpful blog about positive affirmations.

When you doubt yourself on what you do, especially with weight loss, it becomes truth or your motivation lacks.  I kept myself from getting started with weight loss for 4 years and convinced myself that I would be full figured.  I changed my thought process because my friends were achieving weight loss goals too.  I said to myself, "I can do this. I am worthy to be healthy."

When I believed I could achieve weight loss, I started to lose weight.  This didn't magically happen.  I had to set up my environment to encourage weight loss with my foods and activity.  I also had to surround myself with like-minded people so I kept from negative thoughts.  Having a blog helps me to stay in the positive thought process.

Having like-minded people surround me gave me the platform to want to go on and set goals.  If there was a time that I doubted my abilities or knowledge, I would vent to my supports.  Having that support would help me to get out of that funk and move forward.  I like how I am able to talk with like-minded people at my Saturday meeting.  I look forward to that part of the week.gwynspiration

For the Healthy Habits 3 month Challenge, the challengers have to state their daily positive affirmations (DA) on Facebook or post it on a post-it note.  The challengers have been doing such a great job posting positive affirmations that I wanted to share what has been going on in group.  I asked for permission to share with you all.  I appreciate all the challengers and they inspire me as much as I inspire them.
