During this weight loss journey, it's important to pamper yourself ever so often so you can boost your self-esteem and get those feel good emotions going.  Weight loss is not an easy process and there will be ups and downs along the road.  When  you don't pamper yourself, you can easily doubt your abilities or  get caught up in negative self talk if things don't go the way you wanted them to.  Everyone's pamper yourself idea can be different such as; spa day, reading a book alone, exercising, dancing to music, pedicure, facial, bubble bath, long nature walk, watching sports with no interruptions, talking on the phone for hours, prayer, shopping, fishing, time with animials, road trip, sightseeing, or eating a double chocolate 6 layered cake.  I try to keep to pamper yourself ideas to non-food ideas so I stay on plan.  I plan to have a blog post about indulging in yummy foods and my take on that with this lifestyle change.  I urge you to plan on your weekly schedule a pamper yourself activity or take time for you because you deserve it.  Self-esteem and self-worth is so important for mental health wellness.  As a mother and wife, I tend to take care of everyone first and I'm usually last on wits end.  Put yourself on the calendar for "me" time to pamper yourself.  I have learned that if I can't take care of myself then I'm not going to function 100% for everyone else.  So get that calendar out and plan it.....what are you waiting for?  Come to facebook for more tips www.facebook.com/gwynspiration

Two weeks ago I decided I needed to pamper myself by getting a new hair cut and pedicure.  I had my hair stacked and angled.  The last time I had my hair this short was when I was in high school.  I was excited about the change and felt confident.  I went to a nail salon that had those fancy massage chairs. They massaged my legs and feet.  I got to watch different tv shows and read a book.   I enjoyed the experience and felt wonderful about myself.
