There’s nothing better than finding a hidden gem in Chicago that no one else knows about. Whether it’s that cute little restaurant you just happened to pass by one day, or a hair stylist who’s just too good to be true, finding the underrated or undiscovered in Chicago brings its own sweet satisfaction.

I had one of those moments last weekend (ok it wasn’t last weekend but through the magic of blogging I’m going to pretend like it was) when I attended a “staycation” bachelorette party. I can take zero credit for finding this spot but will take all the credit for letting YOU know about it.

Enter Villa D’Citta, the fabulous “Boutique Mansion” found in plain view at 2230 N Halsted. Yes, you’ve probably walked by it a million times while shopping on Halsted and Webster. And no, I don’t know why you haven’t noticed it before.

The rooms are fabulous, the breakfast was delicious, there’s a Jacuzzi, a movie theater, a gorgeous back yard (a back yard!) and it was the absolute perfect setting for a girls weekend. Rates are comparable to a hotel room in Chi-Town but the experience is so much better.

With this gushing review I think it’s important to note – I have no connection to this B&B other than my stay there. I’m not being paid, I have no intention to go back any time soon, I’m just a happy camper wanting to share the good news!

So go – check out the Villa D’Citta. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
