I had the day off on Wednesday, so I decided to visit one of my favorite holiday attractions in Chicago – the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza between Washington, Dearborn and Clark streets. Why do I love the Christkindlmarket? One, it's free. Two, it's awesome. No other reasons needed.
The German-styled open market is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. most days and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. On the weekend, though, it's way too crowded for my taste. So I was happy to have the chance to go on a weekday.
And – of course – I had to document my experience through photos. To understand the Christkindlmarket experience more fully, you can flip through the below photos.
