Guy Fieri finally had answer on Thursday to Pete Wells' review of Guy's American Kitchen & Bar on Tuesday, which consisted entirely of unflattering questions.
“I wholeheartedly disagree with The New York Times’ review of Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar. I’m proud of the food we put out, and always will be."
He also defended the restaurant on NBC's Today show Thursday morning, according to the Yahoo! Shine story.
Not that one would expect anything other than a rebuke from Fieri. What would you expect him to say? "Yeah, the food is worthless. I can't believe people eat there. I just laugh all the way to the bank thinking about it."
The lesson from all this? You probably shouldn't go to a Guy Fieri restaurant expecting a gourmet experience. He's a chef personality – and as such, what he truly excels at is being on TV. Also, maybe Fieri should charge a little less at his restaurant if he really want to recreate Americana.
