Watching a marathon can get a little tedious.
I've watched my wife run in a number of marathons and while it's fun to see her for the 30 seconds or so I get to during the race, I need something to fill the other 3 hours and 45 minutes other than endless clapping.
So at Sunday's Chicago Marathon, I focused on finding fun people to take pictures of and then making up awards for them. There was only one rule to getting an award. You had to be faster than my wife. Once she passes me, I move on to the next place to watch. If you really want your costume admired, speed up.
