The world as we know it may never be the same....

Ok so maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but the results of this election will set the tone for how our country will run far beyond the next four years. I won't get deep into discussion about my candidate of choice, but I'm really hoping that the best man truly wins.

We may all have our own interpretation of who that man is and why he is indeed the best and that is perfectly fine. When I went out and voted this morning, I not only voted for myself, but for the future of my child. She will only be a year old in a few weeks, yet this election will affect her in more ways than I can count.

Many people may argue that the last four years have been a waste, however I sit here in a better financial position with a clearer path to reach my goals. In 2008, I was a college graduate working as a temp for a proxy voting telemarketing type company and in the HR department at an information technology firm... both positions were part time and I absolutely could not seem to find a position in my field...

At that time I worked heavily in the freelance world doing PR and event planning for independent clients, still in all I wasn't nowhere near where I wanted to be...

Fast forward to 2010, I enrolled in grad school  and got hired at an online marketing agency within a matter of months. Not to mention the position I held at a faith-based organization as a Program Coordinator... needless to say I've been constantly moving up since the last election and I hope to keep that same momentum.

Again, I won't tell anyone who to vote for, but this election is way left and way right so there is hardly any room for an in between. You either like one or you like the other, or maybe there's someone else you feel could do a better job. Either way I'm begging you to go out and vote today if you haven't done so... if not for yourself, for your children, for our children.... they are after all our future!
