Walking through my office building today, I met Alvin from the Chipmunks who served me my grande iced coffee with soy. Thor rode up the elevator with me. And, Betty, who works in the office and always was a fan of Halloween, was wearing a pumpkin on her head in the spirit of the day!
Yes, times are tough, many are struggling to pay bills and the East Coast is attempting to recover from the historic Hurricane Sandy which has left many without power and has destroyed homes and property, yet for a moment on this Halloween Day, it’s time to take a moment and be a kid.
Do you Remember what your favorite Halloween costume was ? Mine was a Genie, where I gave Barbara Eden from the hit TV show, I Dream of Genie, some competition. For that moment, I was a Genie. I was thirteen years old and had my life ahead of me with dreams to be lived.
I remember as if it was yesterday, going out Trick & Treating to my neighbors homes, gathering bags of Milky Ways, Butterfingers, and Reese’s peanut Butter cups. It was always chilly, yet I can still sense the smell of the burning leaves and the wind blowing in my face.
