Help for Women in Healthcare: Event

Changes in healthcare are happening at a rapid speed as we get closer to the implementation of the “Obama-care” plan.  These changes will greatly affect those working in the healthcare field.  With change, there is opportunity, but you will need to face these challenges to find opportunities, for furthering your career.

The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association is hosting a valuable seminar, Thursday, January 19,5:30-8:30pm, at the Westin North Shore in Wheeling. Sponsored by Abbott, the program is entitled: Reinventing Yourself in a Changing Healthcare Environment.  The cost is $75 for non-members ($50 for members).

This engaging program will cover the timely issues facing women in this unstable environment. Topic items will include: tips on how to repackage your skills, how to effectively network in this highly competitive career market and offer to support to women who are facing transitions.

Guest Speakers include: Pamela Browner-White, VP, Public Affairs for Cancer Treatment Centers of America, along with Sally Benjamin Young, Chief Communication Officer of Lundbeck and Tracie Haas, Divisional VP of Abbott Pharmaceuticals.

  • My wife and two children and I live in the state of Illinois. Our current health insurance plan is a Choice Plan that is provided by "Penny Medical" . The plan itself is a consumer driven health care plan.
